#RUNSEOKJIN - Everything You Need to Know to Get Tickets
Hi ARMY, Vanessa here from Hobihearteu Shop. I collected the best tips from the online community, Reddit and Ticketmaster and compiled them all here to help you snag those Jin US tour tickets! To everyone who is going to try - I wish you all the best and may we win our way to tickets just like Jin always does in Run BTS :)
Before the Sale
- You should have applied for ARMY pre-sale by now, deadline was April 27 3pm EST. You need a US Membership and US address to join the US Presale, even if you already have a Global Membership.
- Once guaranteed for Presale. Your ARMY Membership ID is your code. No other code will be sent. Do not share your ARMY memberhip ID (9-digit starts with BA) with strangers.
- It's okay if your Weverse and Ticketmaster accounts are under different names.
- When buying VIP soundcheck tickets, note that upon concert entry they will ask you for an ID that matches the name on the credit card used to purchase the ticket.
- Sign in or create a Ticketmaster account. Have your password handy or reset it in advance to avoid any delays.
- Add your bank / credit card details in Ticketmaster, go to profile then payment options. Make sure you billing details are correct too.
- On Ticketmaster, go to Jin's ticket master page and set a reminder for all pre-sale venues you want to join.
- Familiarize yourself with the venue layout. Choose in advance the types of tickets that you want. You can practice with other events in the same venue currently selling tickets.
- Test your main and back-up device for Ticketmaster access e.g. laptop then phone
- Test your main and back up internet connection e.g. Wifi then hotspot
- Disable all your browser ad-blockers and extensions, this may cause issues on some of the pop-up windows opening.
During the Sale
- Pre-Sale opens Tuesday, April 29th at 3PM local time, meaning Newark NJ venue will open 3PM EST, Anaheim CA will open 3pm PST.
- Have your credit card details near you in case you need to enter them again.
- 30 mins before the pre-sale schedule go to Jin's ticket master page. If the Pre-Sale hasn’t started, you will see a countdown timer.
- Once open, join the waiting room.
- Don't refresh the page in the waiting list! If you refresh the page you will lose your spot and will be put last in line again.
- Once you get to the front of the queue, it will ask you to enter your pre-sale code (your 9 digit Weverse Membership ID), you can have multiple tabs with multiple dates open. This code will work across them.
- Don’t look like a ticket bot! It may result in you being blocked for a period of time and unable to shop for tickets.
- Stay within one browser window and on a single device or it may result in errors. Multiple tabs in the same browser is okay if trying multiple shows.
- Don’t refresh your browser multiple times for multiple ticket searches.
- Turn off your VPN, Apple Private Relay and other proxy servers.
- Save time during the on sale by searching for the Best Available ticket filter.
- Types of ticket prices, you will see the type beside the price once you click on the seat in Ticketmaster:
- Official Platinum means, the ticket is priced above standard because of high demand. Some of the most desired seats e.g. VIP, Floor will quickly change to Official Platinum prices.
- Standard Admission is the original price of the ticket, the lowest possible rate you can buy it.
- If all the tickets appear gray or sold out, just stay on the page and keep clicking. Small batches of tickets are released every few hours. During PTD LA I got into Presale and all is sold out, I kept clicking/refreshing from 6PM then around 10pm a whole batch of tickets showed up and I managed to get Row 2 from stage!
- You may purchase a maximum of (4) four tickets during the Pre-Sale and (2) two tickets during the General Sale.
- You can search for accessible tickets by selecting the Filters button and toggling the Show accessible tickets button.
What can I do if all tickets are sold out or at Platinum Price?
- You can wait, based on my experience buying Hobi tickets, Ticketmaster will eventually lower the platinum priced tickets to standard, 2-3 weeks before the concert, assuming tickets are not sold out.
- Ticketmaster will also release Side View tickets 2-3 weeks before the concert, side view tickets are semi obstructed views usually at the far side of the stage.
Buying Resale Tickets
- Only buy from reputable sites that you’ve tried and tested.
- Do not buy from a random person in the internet even if they have an ARMY account with 500k followers or even if they accept payments with Purchase Protection, only buy from someone you personally know.
- If the ticket price is below face value - red flag! Do not buy.
- Wait 5-7 days before the event for a better deal. Scalpers will always panic drop their prices.
Renting Suites
- Another option to watch is via renting a suite in the venue, these are private rooms w/ your own wait staff and food. Most suites are above the first elevated level and they usually cost per person around the same amount as floor tickets.
- How to rent a suite? You can either call the venue directly to inquire for your group or check your local FB/social media groups - or ask your friends, someone is always offering a suite believe me. Here is an example form for Honda Center CA.
- Be careful of scams! Only purchase suite tickets from someone your friends can vouch for e.g. they previously got suite tickets from them
