K-drama Review - Bon Appétit, Your Majesty

A Michelin-star chef magically time travels to the Joseon era and becomes the royal chef to a tyrant king, dazzling the entire palace with her modern culinary twists.
💟 I love, love, love the cooking and food-tasting scenes! They’re so entertaining and genuinely make you hungry, so definitely watch this before or while eating. Lee Chae Min is now my favorite Joseon-era king, officially dethroning Park Hyung Sik from Hwarang. No king has ever king’ed like him. He embodied power yet melted into pure softness for his girl.
⛔ I’ve never been a fan of Joseon-era politics, too dragged out and the villains always seem to win without much reason, so I skipped most of those parts. The last three episodes were especially heavy, with evil triumphing in the most nonsensical ways. The villains’ endings were also pretty unsatisfying, far too light for the level of cruelty they dished out.
